IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR TEXTBOOKS

 

Book Rentals for Fall 2024 will be due on December 13, 2024. 


Book Rentals:  2024


If you rented books from the Western Illinois University Bookstore, they must be returned to the Bookstore by December 13,2024. 

Prior to the due date, you will receive a couple 'rental reminder' emails from the Bookstore which will list every book you've rented from us.

Please make sure these are the books you return.

Again, all rentals MUST be received by December 13,2024  to avoid any charges to your account. These charges are non-reversible.

 

 

******HOW TO CHECK your account for RENTALS THAT ARE

DUE BACK BY December 13, 2024******

 

- Go to bookstore.wiu.edu

- You must have an account to check outstanding rentals.  Your account number is normally your Student ID.

- Set up account if you choose.

- Log in to account

- Select

    "View Rental Transaction History" from menu

- Your rental history is listed by TERM and year, check the current TERM and 

   year for rentals that are due back by December 13th.

 

This function will work with items rented on the website or in the store


For students enrolled in the WIU-QC campus, or students not wanting or able to come to the bookstore in person, the WIU Bookstore offers an online buyback option on their website. Please visit bookstore.wiu.edu and click on 'Sell Your Textbooks' to use this online method. Directions and options will be provided. Cash will be paid for eligible textbooks.

Please note, the online buyback option is facilitated by a third party company and not the WIU Bookstore directly. Do not sell any rented textbooks or textbooks you want to keep. You will not be able to get books back after opting to sell them through the online option.

Student Athletes:

If you are a student athlete who is on scholarship, you must return ALL of your books, and any calculators, to the WIU Bookstore by December 13,2024 for Fall 2024 textbooks. Do NOT SELL any of your textbooks! If you cannot return your books in person by the due date call the Bookstore (309) 298-1931 or email [email protected].  When emailing please include your name and Student ID number.  Please return all of your books by the due dates to avoid any charges to your account.
