RENTAL RETURN UPDATE (SUMMER 2020)

If you rented books from the WIU Bookstore, you will be emailed a prepaid UPS label and instructions on how to return your rented books for  the

SUMMER semester.

The Due dates have been extended until July 31, 2020 from the previous date in an effort to provide you additional time to prepare your book return.  Please ship your rentals utilizing the prepaid label by July 27th.  Students should expect to receive two emails in total, one containing a listing of textbooks you have rented and another email containing the prepaid return label ready for print.

Textbook Rental Agreement (FALL 2020)

You understand that you are renting (not purchasing) the textbooks listed above and must return them to the Macomb Bookstore located in the Student Union no later than DECEMBER 31, 2020.

WIU Quad Cities Campus students can return rentals to the WIU - Quad Cities bookstore located in QC Complex Building C at the 1st floor Student Services desk.

Failure to return rented textbooks by the due date will be considered intent to purchase, and your credit card will be charged the replacement cost plus a $20.00 late fee. In the event that your credit card cannot be charged the amount due will be charged to your student account.  The value of the textbook is determined to be the value of the book at the time it was initially rented, not the value at the time the card is charged.

ONCE YOUR CREDIT CARD OR STUDENT ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CHARGED, THE TEXTBOOK IS YOURS TO KEEP AND CANNOT BE RETURNED TO THE BOOKSTORE.

Minimal highlighting and writing is allowed. Books must be returned in good condition and free of excessive damage. Examples of excessive damage - water damage, mold, missing covers, missing pages, destroyed text on pages, and the like. Books returned with excessive damage will prevent a successful rental return, and you will be charged the replacement cost (new or used depending on the condition prior to rental) plus a $20.00 processing fee.

Please call (309)298-1931 if you have additional questions.
